For much of the Masters, the smart money was on Jordan Spieth to win the green jacket again for a second year running.

Alas the Gods of golf were not shining on the American as he endured a late collapse and England's Danny Willett won his first major.

"This will scar him," says Andrew Cotter of the BBC of Spieth as he joined Off The Ball tonight.

"He is strong and he will certainly come back. I wouldn't bet against him winning another major. I think he'll come back fine. It's just, you saw him afterwards and he was a broken man afterwards. He was nearly in tears in the interview and he was telling the camera to get out of his face as he walked up to the scorer's hut."
