Former Tottenham and Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has been appointed as the new head coach of Russian side Zenit St Petersburg.
The 36-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by Spurs in December. But last week, Sky Italia had linked him with the Zenit job following the sacking of Luciano Spalletti.
Villas-Boas has signed a two-year contract, but will not officially take the reins until Thursday after the club try to overturn a 4 - 2 deficit away to Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League last-16 second leg tomorrow.
Zenit are currently second in the Russian Premier League, three points behind leaders Lokomotiv Moscow.
