The production company behind breakout B-movie Sharknado let their Twitter fans decide on what to call the sequel.
More than 5,000 submissions later and the official title has been confirmed.
Like the first installment, Sharknado: The Second One will be produced by The Asylum and is set for a July 2014 release.
Thomas Vitale, executive vp of programming at Syfy, said: "This response is another reminder of how Sharknado has become a pop culture phenomenon. We want to thank all our viewers for their wonderful contributions to keeping up the shark-mentum."
Earlier this week Irish viewers got the chance to see Sharknado when it premiered on the British version of the Syfy channel.
American Pie's Tara Reid, who starred in the first film, is rumoured to re-appear in the sequel.
Despite an earlier confirmation by Reid, it remains to be seen whether Jedward will also make an appearance.
