While Dublin's Anthony Daly was obviously thrilled to reach Division 1A of the National Hurling League, the mood was different in the Limerick camp.
The Munster men saw their promotion hopes dashed by the narrowest of margins, losing 1-16 to 1-15 in the decider on Saturday night.
Limerick manager John Allen expressed his disappointment when he spoke to Newstalk Breakfast's Oisin Langan in the wake of the defeat which keeps them in Division 1B for another year, despite beating Dublin in the league two weeks ago.
"The forwards just shot on sight, maybe not realizing their was a little bit of time and space there and it cost us," said Allen.
"I can't fault the team. They tried their heart out. It's not nice being on the wrong side of a one point loss but that's the way it is."
But Allen is optimistic that the setback will not affect their Championship push, describing it as a "totally different kettle of fish"...
