The English FA has rejected Hull City's bid to change their name to Hull Tigers.
The club's owner Assem Allam said that changing their name would make Hull more marketable around the world and has previously threatened to walk away from his role if the FA do not grant him his wish.
But a large number of supporters are against the idea.
Hull manager Steve Bruce doubts today's decision by the Football Association Council to block changing their name from City to Tigers will be the end of the matter.
And the former Sunderland manager added that he can understand both sides of the argument.
"He's going to have people who are going to back him and people against him," said Bruce on Allam's plan.
"In this country we are huge traditionalists. I never thought the FA Cup would be called the Budweiser FA Cup. Things change so we we have to go with change. All of us have to accept change."
