The FA have confirmed Sergio Aguero will not face retrospective disciplinary action for his two footed challenge on Chelsea’s David Luiz during yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final.
The news follows confirmation that the referee, Chris Foy, had seen the incident during the game and had awarded Chelsea a free kick for the incident.
David Luiz yesterday called on Aguero to apologise for the tackle, saying:
"Many people say to me about this tackle. I didn't see it because it was in the back of me. I cannot speak about that. I felt it a little bit. Agüero is a great player and I think he needs to be honest with himself and say: 'I don't like to do bad tackles, I don't like to do that.'”
