Armagh star Aaron Kernan has called time on his inter-county career.
The Crossmaglen man revealed the news in a statement issued on his behalf by the Gaelic Players Association.
The former Young Footballer of the Year, who turns 31 in December, made his Armagh senior debut almost a decade ago.
He has won two Club All Irelands, ten Club County titles and represented Ireland in the 2008 International Rules series.
In August, he spoke to Off The Ball about his strong 2014 Championship performance, which you can listen to here.
In his statement, he said:
"I have informed the Armagh management and players today that I am retiring from county football. It is obviously a very difficult decision for me but I believe I’ve reached a stage where I need to focus energies on other aspects of my life," he said.
"Having discussed the current situation with my family however, I believe the time is now right to make the transition although I will continue to play for my club Crossmaglen and remain actively involved in the GAA and the GPA."
