The Manchester United Foundation have released a video where they brought a terminally ill fan to their training complex and surprised him by meeting the players.

28-year-old Tom Cooper suffers from Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, a rare form of cancer that has spread across his body and for which there is sadly no more treatment available.

He was brought to Carrington on the assumption that his two daughters were to take part in a photoshoot for the club's Christmas card.

Cooper said; "I've been a Manchester United supporter since I was way young. I never though I'd be able to come here and it's happening... To meet the whole squad was amazing."

His wife Tammy also spoke about how happy she was to create so many memories with her family in a place her husband loved.

Midfielder Michael Carrick spends plenty of time with Cooper's daughter playing football with them and taking pictures with the family. Despite their global prominence, it is still great to see the club help fans closer to Old Trafford.
