The Government has pledged €600,000 towards the redevelopment of Ruislip GAA grounds in London.

The funding is part of the Emigrant Support Programme and is a once off grant that will be ring-fenced for the development of the spectator facilities at the GAA ground.

Former Olympian and long distance runner Jerry Kiernan spoke out against the funding, to Newstalk Breakfast this morning, stating that the GAA are "the richest association in the country" who can "afford to fund their own activities."
