Earlier this week, we heard the news that the completion date for the new National Children’s Hospital is likely to be missed, making it the sixteenth delay and costing the State a total of €2.24 billion. In a recent meeting with the Dáil, Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, directed the blame at BAM, telling the opposition that it “would be hopeful to be aware that we together are paying a contractor who is not delivering its commitments on time for this State”.
