John FitzGerald Adjunct Professor of Economics at Trinity College Dublin joined On The Record with Gavan Reilly on the day that the carbon tax for household fuels is set to rise. The professor made the point that both the current Oireachtas and the former Oireachtas both supported the Carbon tax. Fitzgerald also made the point that the carbon tax is being undercut by the price of oil at the moment but oil prices will come down in the near future.
