You might remember that it was 'Culture Night' nine days ago, which was obviously a very different beast this year than in previous years as it was largely conducted online.

As a part of that, a documentary called ‘Notes on Rave in Dublin’ was streamed and uploaded to YouTube.

It’s a history of electronic music in the capital and a stark reminder that nightlife was the first industry to close due to Covid-19 and will probably be one of the last to return.

But at the centre of that story was Dublin’s first electronic music venue, the unlikely 'Flikkers' housed in the Hirschfeld Centre, found in the decaying Temple Bar of the 1970s.

Donal Fallon joins Gavan Reilly for another episode of Hidden Histories to discuss.
