Inside the Crime

As day gave way to night on a cold October evening in 1971, Una Lynskey stepped off a bus on the Fairyhouse Road in County Meath. The walk down Porterstown Lane would usually take her no more than 15 minutes but on that dark and damp evening, Una never made it home. What happened next caused deep and long-lasting division in an otherwise tight-knit community –with the impacts still being felt over 50 years later. Season 3 of Inside The Crime is a story of divided loyalties, misplaced vengeance and an act of cruel injustice. At the heart of it all, however, is the unsolved murder of a 19-year-old girl.
