High liquid temperatures during baby formula preparation are causing the release of microplastics, new research by Trinity College Dublin has found.

While the effect on the human body is uncertain, the researchers are urging caution and advising parents to use cooler water.

Lead researcher of the study, Professor John Boland of the School of Chemistry at Trinity Collge Dublin joins Pat to discuss the findings
