Who are the next generation of farmers coming up through the ranks?

Why are they choosing the farming life and is it more difficult for this generation?

Newstalk reporter, Aideen Finnegan, has been speaking to four young people who love the work.

31 year old Linda Hanbridge Cliffe trained as a makeup artist before turning to farming full-time.

23 year old Ag Policy Officer with Macra na Feirme, Jennifer Keegan, plans to eventually go back to the family farm in Laois.

21 year-old Paddy McKeown doesn't come from a farming background but is currently studying Ag Science.

26 year-old Sean Kelly runs the family farm at his home near Nenagh in Co. Tipperary.
