The latest Daft.ie report paints a stark picture of the shortage of rental properties here in Ireland. It shows that on average rents in Dublin increased by around 0.5% in the past year, but nationally the increase was 5.6%.

Karl Deeter of Irish Mortgage Brokers joined Kieran on Tuesday's edition of The Hard Shoulder, along with John Rohan from Sherry FitzGerald in Waterford to talk about the realities of the rental market.
