A very interesting Freedom of Information request was acquired by Newstalk, as it was found that more than 400 people were hospitalised with obesity in 2018 and 2019.
This is a growing issue in Ireland, with the HSE estimating that 60% of Irish people are either overweight or obese.
But for those living with these issues, it can also have a stigmatising effect that can add to their own health concerns.
