Derry and Sallyanne Clarke were Kieran's guests on The Thursday Interview this week, and they spoke about their son, Andrew, who took his own life at the age of 16 at the end of 2012.

They spoke about organ donation, and how they're passionately in favour of an 'opt-out' system when it comes to organ donation.

This ‘opt out’ option has been promised for a long time, through at least 3 Governments.

Lorna McSwiggan is dialysis nurse waiting on a kidney transplant herself, and Karen McDermott is a mother, and a heart transplant recipient in the past.  They spoke about their respective positions, and Labour Party leader Alan Kelly gave his reaction to the delays in getting legislation through.
