Eviction notices issued by landlords rose by 41% in the last three months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024 according to the Residential Tenancies Board. This was ahead of the State’s new rental rules coming into effect on the first of this month.

Joining Shane to discuss this is Michael Byrne, Associate Professor at UCD’s School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice and Author of Beyond Generation Rent and Conor Sheehan, Labour Spokesperson for Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
