Reports in the Irish Examiner suggest that there may be unrest in Cabinet over the viability of a new public sector pay deal. The deal is set to be negotiated over the coming weeks.

The current deal is due to end in October with another 2% pay increase for 300,000 public sector workers - in what would be the sixth increase since January 2018.

To discuss, Kiera Cuddihy was joined by Socialist TD for Cork North Central Mick Barry, and Neil McDonnell, chief executive of ISME.
