New technology that can uncover DNA from decades ago could help solve the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.

The garda Cold Case Unit is to conduct a "full review" into the death of the French filmaker.

She was killed near Schull in December 1996. Nobody has ever been convicted of her murder in Ireland.
