It turns out there can be benefits to gossiping.

Researchers at Dartmouth College in the US have found that having a nosey chat with a friend is actually good for you.

Reporter Josh Crosbie has been looking into the art of telling tales and finds out why we get satisfied when we gossip.

He spoke with actor Eilish O'Carroll from Mrs Brown's Boys and Counselling Psychologist Leslie Shoemaker.
