The European Commission has said Meta needs to implement design changes to both Instagram and Facebook after they were found in breach of EU digital rules because of their addictive design.

However, Meta has come out with a statement to say they disagree with those preliminary findings, and that they don't accurately take into account the steps they’ve taken to protect teens.
