Most houses in Ireland have an energy rating of C2. If you want to renovate or extend your home, new rules state that the entire dwelling have a high energy rating of B2. For new houses, it's even higher at A2. But, is this feasible for homeowners? And is it necessary? We asked Damien English, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development and editor of Passive House Plus, Jeff Colley.
