Dublin has been named as one of the top ten cities in the world to visit.

Lonely Planet has placed the capital at number seven. The travel guide describes the capital as "one of Europe's most down-to-earth and friendly cities".

The number one spot has gone to Aukland in New Zealand, followed by Taipei in Taiwan and Freiburg in Germany.

Newstalk reporter Josh Crosbie has been looking at some of the reasons why Dublin has made the list.
