Atheist Ireland has sent a 21-page legal opinion to the Department of Education on the right to opt out of religious instruction under provisions contained in the Constitution.

They say there is no legal basis to force students to attend any religious classes.

Mark was joined on Tuesday's edition of the Hard Shoulder by Jane Donnelly of Atheist Ireland, and Fr Iggy O’Donovan, priest, member of the Augustinian Order.
