A new national campaign in Scotland is challenging the stigma around the problem of use of drugs and alcohol urging people to stop using words such as “junkie”, “addict” and “alcoholic”, instead of replacing them with “person with problematic substance use”. Philly McMahon is a Dublin footballer and proud Ballymun native joined us this morning on what he thought of this campaign and why we need something like this here in Ireland.
