It’s time for tough new rules to tackle fat cat pay.

That’s the call from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions who today published their annual report on chief executives’ pay.

It also found Bosses at 22 of the 26 companies which were examined earned close to or above one million euro in pay and benefits last year.

Rory Hearne, a Lecturer in Social Policy at Maynooth University, joined Andrea Gilligan on the show this morning to give his reaction to the ICTU's bold call.
