The Department of Health has reported 1,758  new cases of covid-19. There are now 248 people in hospitals, 48 of whom are in Intensive Care Units. The daily cases are down on Saturdays when there were 2,074 confirmed cases of Covid-19. For more on this, we were joined on the show this morning by Damien McCallion, HSE National Lead on Vaccination Programme.
