Tusla have revealed that over 60,000 children in Ireland miss school every day. 

It comes as the organisation have launched a new awareness campaign to highlight the importance of attending school. 

 

Denis Naughten is an Independent TD for Roscommon–Galway and Former Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment joins us now to discuss the idea of targeting social welfare if a child's attendance at school is poor.
