Should online advertising of baby formula be banned?

The Irish College of General Practitioners are supporting a proposal being tabled in the Seanad this week which would allow online marketing of baby formula to be banned. The body says that infant formula advertising “has been proven to undermine women’s confidence in their ability to breastfeed successfully”. Aideen was joined on the show by Independent Senator Alice Mary Higgins and Fine Gael Senator Tim Lombard.
