Parents should be able to access Illness Benefit when taking time off work to care for sick children. That’s the view of our Ann Norton who says proposals to allow parents of sick children five days unpaid leave do not go far enough. 

Ann Norton is Manager of the Clare Crusaders Children’s Clinic. She also cares for her daughter Nicole who has cerebral palsy and Ann spoke to Newstalk Breakfast this morning.
