An AA survey has shown that 40 percent of Irish motorists would strongly support a scrappage scheme to swap diesel cars for electric.

Tom Cullen, Deputy Director General at the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, joined the show to argue in favour of the proposal before Geraldine Herbert, Motoring Correspondent with the Sunday Independent, voiced her concerns with the idea.
