Predictions from The Department of Education indicate that the number of primary school children is set to drop by about 20 per cent – more than 100,000 pupils – over the next 15 years. This sharp drop may lead to a surplus of primary teachers & there’s concerns it could threaten the future of some small schools. To discuss we heard from John Boyle, INTO General Secretary.
