King Charles could be visiting Ireland as soon as this summer

It is understood that King Charles is to make his first official state visit to the Republic and the North of Ireland following his coronation this May. Political sources in Dublin, London, and Belfast this weekend said they hoped a visit by the newly crowned British monarch to the North would reassure Unionists that the province’s ties to the UK remain strong.
