The number of Covid patients in Ireland’s hospitals is expected to hit double the peak of the first wave this week while the numbers in ICU is expected to pass their first peak wave also. It comes as the department of Health confirmed another 6,888 cases of the virus and another 8 deaths. Professor Paddy Mallon Infectious Disease physician at St Vincent’s hospital and Professor of Microbial Diseases at UCD School of Medicine joined us on the show discuss the increasing numbers.
