A proposal put forward by the former senator Ferghal Quinn suggests that we introduce an honours system in the country. We heard from the senator Gerard Croughwell who says he's happy to support the proposal and bring it before the Seanad.

Ireland needs an honours system like the UK to recognise achievements of its citizens. That's according to the for senator Feargal Quinn, who's suggested we need to look at bringing in a  similar system.

To discuss the proposal we were joined by Gerard Croughwell, Independent Senator.
