Yesterday on the show we brought you the results of Newstalk Breakfast’s survey on women’s safety when walking alone after dark.  We surveyed over 2700 women and found that nearly 9 in 10 women feel uncomfortable walking alone after dark  13% of respondents to the survey said they had been attacked after dark, and 60% said they had been verbally harassed.  What can be done to make women feel safer on the streets?  Joining Shane to discuss this is Former Garda Assistant commissioner, Pat Leahy, and Dr Evelyn Mahon Trinity Sociologist.
