Has the Finance Minister ‘failed’ if Ireland agrees to a 15% corporate tax rate?

An updated draft of a global corporate tax overhaul has dropped “at least” from a proposed minimum rate of “at least 15 percent”. Its removal now opens the way for Ireland to sign up to the Framework Agreement, which is expected to be finalised on Friday.  Sinn Fein is of the view that if we fail to retain our 12.5% rate, it will be a ‘failure’ of government. To discuss this further Shane spoke to Pearse Doherty, Sinn Féin spokesman on Finance.
