George Gibney was the former Olympic swimming coach, who was accused of 27 counts of indecent assault and unlawful carnal knowledge on minors in the early 90s.  

He escaped trial following a supreme court ruling in 1993, and is now based in the States – where there have been calls for him to be returned to Ireland.
