Tougher action is needed to deal with those who assault Gardaí in the line of duty. That’s the view of the Garda Representative Association, who say that stronger legislation, including mandatory sentencing, is needed to deal with the problem, after nearly two hundred Gardaí were injured as a result of assault last year. Brendan O’Connor Vice President of the GRA talked to Shane.
