Farmer Tom Niland “can now rest in peace,” his family said, after three men were sentenced yesterday to between 14 and 15 years in prison for his unlawful killing. The 75-year-old died on September 30th, 2023, 20 months after suffering a violent attack in his west Sligo home on January 18th, 2022.

 Independent Cllr for Sligo, Tom Niland’s Neighbour and Friend Michael Clarke spoke to Newstalk Breakfast about his friend Tom.
