Domestic violence charges double but few result in convictions

Data from the courts service has revealed that the number of domestic violence charges before the District courts almost doubled between 2019 and 2020.  However, only a minority of cases resulted in a conviction. In reaction to this data we heard from  Sarah Benson, CEO of Women’s Aid.
