The cabinet is to discuss major changes to alcohol licensing laws, including staggered and extended closing times for bars and nightclubs. The General Scheme of the Sale of Alcohol Bill 2021 will also make it easier for cultural venues like theatres and galleries to get licences. To discuss this further we spoke to  Michael McDowell, Senator and Former Tanaiste and Minister for Justice.
