EirGrid has said they expect data centres to account for one-quarter of all power consumption by 2030. Speaking yesterday Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications Eamon Ryan said that data centres will need to be subject to sectoral emissions ceilings. So what can big companies and data centres do to reduce their energy consumption? Alan Keogh, CEO of Wicklow based Crowley Carbon spoke to Ciara on the show.
