Two-thirds of people would avoid Dublin City Centre for fear of crime, according to a new survey from Dublin Inquirer and Amárach.  The survey found that 12 per cent of people were the victims of theft in Dublin in the past 12 months, while 9 per cent said that they had been threatened in a public place.  

We discuss the survey findings further with Dr Matt Bowden, Criminologist and Senior Lecturer at TU Dublin.
