Are we too quick to imprison people in Ireland?  The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) publish their Progress in the Penal System (PIPS) report for 2021 today.  They are calling for reforms in custodial sentencing policy so that prison is used as a last resort.  For more on this we heard from Molly Joyce, The Irish Penal Reform Trust’s Deputy Director.
