Almost 1,000 people turned out for a Sinn Fein public meeting in the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork City last night.

Sinn Fein are to hold another four similar meetings in Dublin, Cavan, Galway and Newry over the next fortnight.

The next one is in Liberty Hall at 7:30pm tonight.

Leo Varadkar had described the planned meetings as "undemocratic" and "intimidating". While Fianna Fails Housing Spokesperson Darragh O'Brien tweeted comparing the meetings to the rallies Donald Trump has.
