Storm Ellen brought severe and destructive winds which battered the south and west coast of Ireland last night. To hear how the country was effected we heard from Aidan Weir, Senior Engineer with Cork County Council,  Derek Hynes, Head of Project Delivery with ESB networks,Brendan Murphy of Murphy’s Ferries Bere Island, Co Cork and  Evelyn Cusack, Head of Forecasting at Met Eireann. Henry McKean also reported live from along the Shannon in Athlone.
