Earlier we spoke with Ombusdman Peter Tyndall who said that younger people in nursing homes have ’wasted lives’. More than 1,300 people under the age of 65 currently reside in nursing homes 55 year old John Paul Doyle is one of them. This morning on the show Shane spoke to John Paul and he began by asking him what led him to taking up residence in a nursing home.
